Did you know that 43% of people in the last year said they went to YouTube for listening to podcasts as a podcaster on YouTube you have the ability to reach a brand new audience, get discovered through search, and even monetize your content? So there’s really never been a better time to create a podcast YouTube channel. So how do you do this? Well, there are three different ways that you can.
Approach this and I’m going to share it with you first is to film your podcast. Now, this is by far the most elaborate way to go about this, but if you can pull it off in a professional way, it can be very effective. Podcasters like Gary Vaynerchuk, Joe Rogan, and others can be seen taking this approach often opting for an interview-style podcast where both speakers are in a room. Just having a chat. However, this level of production often requires much larger know-how in order to pull off effectively, often requiring multiple mikes multiple cameras, and camera angles. As well as professional-level editing. So if you’re someone who’s not quite ready to invest in this level of production, don’t worry. I have two other options that may suit you better, so #2 is to record your remote interviews now. This option is only going to apply to interview-style podcasts, but if you’re already doing remote interviews with your podcast guests through Zoom, Skype, or similar software then this could be a great option for you. Most of these video conferencing software includes the option to record the entire meeting, so just hit the record button. Before you start your interview, download it. Once you’re done, do a little bit of editing and upload to YouTube. Alternatively, if you’re not as concerned about editing your remote interviews for YouTube, then you may consider going live on YouTube. That way the file is already uploaded directly to YouTube with minimal effort on your part. For a good resource on how to do this, I’ll provide a link in the description below. So the third option is to convert your podcast audio into a YouTube video. Now, this is by far the simplest way to do this and it works great for both. Interview style and single speaker. Podcast episodes and it’s also the very best option if you have a lot of previously released episodes that you want to upload to YouTube. So to do this, I recommend using a tool called a wave.
